Common Rail, (Delphi, Bosch)
Since the inception of Common Rail, Patterson Diesel has recognised the importance of this exciting new technology and invested in Diagnostic and Test equipment to support servicing and repair of most types of Common Rail systems.
Automotive
As a main Delphi agent, Patterson Diesel has under their strict guidelines built a clean room thus providing the surgical levels of cleanliness necessary to facilitate the diagnostics and repair of Common Rail systems
Delphi Common Rail systems are already fitted to many Ford, Renault, Kia and Hyundai vehicles and Bosch Common Rail systems are fitted to many BMW, Mercedes, Chrysler, Audi, Peugeot, Saab and Volvo vehicles.
Marine
To compliment our already extensive investment in automotive common rail diagnostic and test equipment, Patterson Diesel is closely following MAN B&W's, research and development in this field.
Due to increasingly tighter emission limits we recognise that the development of low emission combustion systems is gaining more and more importance. Patterson Diesel is therefore investing in training at an early stage in order to be at the forefront of this new technology when its use will ultimately become widespread in the marine sector.
Common Rail Injectors
The objective of the Common Rail injection system is to be able to control the advance, injection duration and presure individually, in a way that manges the combustion perfectly - cylinder by cylinder - depending on the working conditions of the engine.
The Common Rail injector is a vital component within the system, regulating the exactamount of fuel that is delivered into the combustion chamber. The precise opening and closing of the injectors is electronically controlled by electro valves that are installed in each nozzle holder body.
Delphi Common Rail injectors are fitted to a number of the most popular vehicles of the world's largest vehicle manufacturers, including Renault, Ford and Kia.
